Community Kirtan and Cacao Ceremony with Sam and Mollie

  • UnMind Space Hackney Wick London (map)

Dear Friends,

This Kirtan will be held the day after we arrive back from Mooji’s Ashram (Monte Sahaja) in Portugal, we will have been in a period of contemplation and silence for two weeks and our intention is to offer a very gentle, soft space, in which to immerse in the heart and dive into a quiet space of presence.

As such we have decided to not have drums for this event as we usually do, instead we will harness the simple power of our voices, sacred silence, story telling and the medicine of cacao to guide our journey into the depths of awareness and love.

We look forward to gathering with you once again.

Much Love,

Sam and Mollie x

Please book your space early, our intention is to leave space for everyone to be comfortable,  28 beings is our capacity at this time and we would love to honour this.

Please arrive between 18:45pm - 7:00pm for a 19:10pm start.

A Few More Details?

Bringing our intentions into fruition with connection, breath, and song, as we work with the Alchemy of music and stillness to drop into a deep state of receiving.

We will begin with a heart opening cacao medicine ceremony and Intention Setting, before uniting our voices in song and expression, concluding the evening with a time to receive the healing sounds of mantra and crystal bowls.

Literally translated as ‘Food of the Gods’, Cacao is one of the most nutritionally dense super foods and provides many medicinal benefits.
It stimulates the production of the neurotransmitters dopamine, serotonin and anandamide (also known as the bliss chemical) leading to feelings of euphoria.
Since the ancient civilizations of the Mayans and Aztecs, cacao has been used in rituals and ceremonies as a tool for journeying deep inside of the self, allowing spirit to move through and guide us.

Kirtan is a type of Yoga called Bhakti Yoga (the Yoga of Devotion), and can be translated as 'reaching or calling for the divine' ~ however this shows up in your life, and whatever it means to you. In joining our voices together in song we simply use Kirtan as a way of expressing our emotions and connecting deeper to ourselves. There is no one way to approach this traditional art, be curious, be brave, and join us! (Absolutely no singing experience is required.. we often find that our connection to this expression of our voice stems from a place within ourselves we may never have previously touched.)

We cannot wait to see you!
