Cacao Ceremony, Community Kirtan, Candlelit Meditation

  • Hackney Community Studio Hackney Wick (map)

We will be pouring our hearts into this longer session, as we have discovered from our last few events that we are always ready, with hearts wide open, for a few more songs, as well as space for a deeper time of silence, meditation, and ceremony!

We are very happy to announce that we will be joined by some absolutely amazing musicians from the Hanuman Project who are coming to share their hearts and voices for this April Kirtan.

Please do book your space early, our intention is to leave lots of space for everyone to be comfortable and cozy,  28 beings is our comfortable capacity at this time and we would love to honour this.

Please arrive between 18:45pm - 7:00pm for a 19:05pm start.

Blessings,

Mollie and Sam x

A Few More Details?

Bringing our intentions into fruition with connection, breath, and song, as we work with the Alchemy of music and stillness to drop into a deep state of receiving.

We will begin with a heart opening medicine ceremony and Intention Setting, before uniting our voices in song and expression, concluding the evening with a guided meditation.

Literally translated as ‘Food of the Gods’, Cacao is one of the most nutritionally dense super foods and provides many medicinal benefits.
It stimulates the production of the neurotransmitters dopamine, serotonin and anandamide (also known as the bliss chemical) leading to feelings of euphoria.
Since the ancient civilizations of the Mayans and Aztecs, cacao has been used in rituals and ceremonies as a tool for journeying deep inside of the self, allowing spirit to move through and guide us.

Kirtan is a type of Yoga called Bhakti Yoga (the Yoga of Devotion), and can be translated as 'reaching or calling for the divine' ~ however this shows up in your life, and whatever it means to you. In joining our voices together in song we simply use Kirtan as a way of expressing our emotions and connecting deeper to ourselves. There is no one way to approach this traditional art, be curious, be brave, and join us! (Absolutely no singing experience is required.. we often find that our connection to this expression of our voice stems from a place within ourselves we may never have previously touched.)

We cannot wait to see you!
